Newt Gingrich keeps likening President Obama to radical community organizer Saul Alinsky. But Gingrich seems to have adopted Alinsky's tactics himself, as has the tea party. Mainstream Republicans aren't happy.
The best example of that is of course, the current occupant of the White House.
Palin came out swinging on her Facebook account today, posting a doozy of a long note, acknowledging the importance of vetting candidates but arguing that “Ronald Reagan and Barry Goldwater, the fathers of the modern conservative movement, would be ashamed of us in th …
The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is creating a spy system that will allow it to monitor social media websites, including Facebook and Twitter.
In reading commentary on this incident, mainstream media commentators were baffled by it.
Arizona Governor Jan Brewer’s book Scorpions for Breakfast is a classic example of the right wing genre; i.e., incredibly disrespectful of the office of the Presidency.
Despite major oil finds off Brazil's coast, new fields in North Dakota and ongoing increases in the conversion of tar sands to oil in Canada, fresh supplies of petroleum are only just enough to offset the production decline from older fields.
In January of 1776, Thomas Paine published his pamphlet Common Sense that galvanized colonist support for American independence. 236 years later, Barack Obama presented his own forceful version of common sense in his third State-of-the-Union address.
House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) not only believes his caucus will keep its majority in the next Congress, but told Politico yesterday he expects the Republican House majority to last a decade. Is it because GOP officials will impress voters and earn the public’s trus …
During a Wednesday interview on the "Laura Ingraham Show," House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) said dismissively that he had "no idea" what information Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) has about GOP presidential candidate Newt Gingrich.
The 18 debates among the Republican presidential wannabes have been such horrific clown shows that both Sen.
The speech set the tone for the fall campaign. The president hopes to launch a debate about fairness: what role the government should play in regulating business and how much each citizen should contribute and expect.
European Union (EU) foreign ministers meeting in Brussels yesterday imposed far-reaching economic sanctions on Iran, including an embargo on Iranian oil imports that will come into full force in July.
Of course, that's the beginning and the end of my respect for Santorum, who had the gall to tell Morgan that his opposition to legal abortion is "not a matter of religious values".
After every State of the Union and rebuttal, operatives and journalists go on a noble mission to "fact-check" what's been said.
In his State of the Union message, Obama succeeded in painting the GOP as obstructionist, and came down hard on the banks.
By this point—roughly 30 minutes before the party was scheduled to start— the DJ had moved to AC/DC’s classic single, “Back in Black,” and the ballroom had begun to fill with Gingrich supporters.
Rep. Gabrielle Giffords, D-Ariz., is stepping down from Congress this week, almost exactly one year after she was shot at close range at a campaign event, she said in a video posted to YouTube on Sunday. "Thank you for your prayers and for giving me time to recover.

Let's face it: Big Oil is used to getting its way. But not today...
Even his staunchest enemies now regard his presidency as the good old days. He has become the rare consensus figure in a country that has lost all sense of consensus. So we talked to him about where it went, and how we might get it back.
The last few weeks of the Republican Presidential road show has been dominated by discussion of Mitt Romney's career as head of a Wall Street private equity firm -- Bain Capital.

I think our economy is terribly off course and has been since Bush and Cheney took over in 2000. I don't think it is unfair to blame them for the mess things are in because that is the root of all of the things that are wrong now. Obama or anyone else wouldn't have a chance to right things quickly in this climate, but for the Republicans to sit back and do nothing is wrong and they know it. Now Beck is bringing GOD into the mix just as Pat Robertson did in the 90's.
I thought they were wrong in the 90's to bring god into their politics and they are wrong now. What hypocrites they are.
Great comments and seeds... Keep up the good work!
Take care!— McSpocky
